Copy editing

I’m able to edit using AP style, Chicago style and/or MLA style. I can also create article and page layouts in InDesign, which is shown in the Durham VOICE articles I’ve edited.

I recently worked as an editorial assistant intern at the Reading List, an editorial company located in Carrboro, North Carolina. At the Reading List, I created style sheets and market assessments, performed administrative tasks, assisted in book development and edited various projects. Additionally, I am the Director of Copy Editing for Coulture Magazine, UNC’s premiere fashion and lifestyle magazine.

The following are pieces that I’ve recently copyedited.

Over the summer of 2018 I interned at INDY Week, where I’ve written and copyedited articles for print and online.
